These Terms & Conditions apply to all photography services provided by Shannon Sheridan Photography. By booking or commissioning services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Definitions
“Photographer” refers to Shannon Sheridan Photography
“Client” refers to the individual or business commissioning photography services
“Images” refers to all photographs taken during the commissioned shoot
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once agreed in writing (email or message).
The Photographer reserves the right to refuse any booking at their discretion.
Shoot dates may be rescheduled by mutual agreement, subject to availability.
3. Fees & Payment
Prices are agreed in advance and confirmed in writing.
Payment terms will be stated on the invoice.
Late payments may incur additional fees or withholding of image delivery.
All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled shoot may be charged up to 50% of the agreed fee.
Same-day cancellations may be charged in full.
Weather or access issues may require rescheduling; this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
5. Scope of Work
The Photographer will provide images as agreed in the selected package.
Editing includes basic professional corrections only (exposure, colour, perspective).
Additional retouching or edits outside the agreed scope may incur extra charges.
6. Image Delivery
Final images are delivered digitally via download link.
Delivery timescales will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Raw/unedited images are not provided.
7. Copyright & Image Usage (IMPORTANT)
Photographer’s Rights
All images remain the copyright of Shannon Sheridan Photography.
The Photographer retains the unrestricted right to use all images in any way, including but not limited to:
Portfolio use
Website and social media
Marketing, advertising, and promotional materials
Awards, publications, competitions
Commercial and editorial use
This right applies indefinitely unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client Licence
The Client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the images for:
Their website
Online booking platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, Hostelworld)
Social media
Online marketing and promotional use
Images may not be sold, licensed to third parties, or altered significantly without written permission.
8. Credit
Where practical, image credit to Shannon Sheridan Photography is appreciated but not mandatory.
Images may not be used in a misleading or defamatory context.
9. Property Access & Preparation
The Client is responsible for ensuring rooms and spaces are clean, accessible, and ready at the agreed time.
The Photographer is not responsible for delays caused by unprepared spaces or restricted access.
10. Liability
The Photographer takes reasonable care in the delivery of services but shall not be liable for:
Loss of business or bookings
Technical issues beyond reasonable control
Circumstances preventing completion due to access, safety, or environmental factors
Liability is limited to the total value of the agreed shoot fee.
11. Data Protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
13. Acceptance
By commissioning photography services from Shannon Sheridan Photography, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
